The Association of Latvian Optometrists and Opticians (Latvian abbreviation: LOOA), founded in 1997, serves as a unified platform for Latvian optometrists, optometrist assistants, opticians, entrepreneurs in the optics industry, academic staff in the vision care field, and other industry specialists. It provides a space for collaboration, idea exchange, and joint efforts toward the association’s core goals: to promote the development of a primary vision care system and regulatory framework in Latvia aligned with European Union standards, and to support the professional advancement of optometry and optics specialists through cooperation with state institutions.
